About:

Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) operates Singapore's first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Terminal on Jurong Island. It was incorporated by the Energy Market Authority back in June 2009 to develop, build, own and operate Singapore?s and Asia?s very first open access, multi-user LNG Terminal. The Terminal started operations in May 2013 with two LNG storage tanks of 180,000 cubic metres capacity each, a primary jetty that can accommodate LNG carriers of 120,000 to 265,000 cubic metres, and an initial throughput capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa). A third tank, a secondary jetty that can accommodate LNG carriers of 60,000 to 265,000 cubic metres, and additional regasification facilities to increase the Terminal?s throughput capacity to 6 Mtpa were completed in early 2014. The next phase of expansion of the Terminal, termed ?Phase 3?, is in progress and will see the addition of a fourth tank and more facilities to bring the Terminal?s throughput capacity to about 11 Mtpa by 2017. At 260,000 cubic metres, the fourth tank is slated to be the largest in the world, and will be able to receive a full cargo load from a Q-Max carrier (which is currently the largest LNG carrier in the world). SLNG?s core businesses include throughput, vessel cool-down and storage & reload services. Beyond these, SLNG will continuously explore new LNG business opportunities as it pursues its vision to become the Gateway for LNG in Asia, and to help establish Singapore as the LNG Hub for the region
