About this role
The Team Lead (TL) is a member of the Performance Team. The TL supports the Well Discipline Engineers to deliver reliable well equipment; this support is provided through the application of quality assurance activities for:•Manufacture, inspection, test and servicing of ROO Wells well equipment (drilling, completion and intervention), including in-country surveillance and sign off of manufactured product;•The provision of rental equipment (for wells) and associated servicing;•Handling, transportation, storage and preservation of well equipment ;The TL is responsible for:
Operations:•Confirming that the equipment meets QA requirements in compliance with ROO contractual specifications and API standards, practices and processes and that the suppliers meet the given requirements;•Ensuring implementation and compliance with the Wells planning and execution processes;•Identifying and implementing opportunities to deliver continuous improvement in equipment quality, including process efficiency;•Provide supporting technical data and industry references for compliance to engineering queries pertaining to quality ;•Data reporting and analysis including QA team performance;•Coaching and mentoring direct reports;•Self-verification oversight of Contractor QMS: SQP/ ITP and QCP program Contracting;•Provide input to contracts;•Perform the QA Evaluation on received bids;•Perform pre-award and start up Audits as required;•Development and approval of QP / ITP;•Set up Inspection Assignments;•Monitor Third Party Inspections and verify compliance to international standards;RCA Investigations
•Lead or Participation in RCA investigations;•Present investigation findings to Senior Management;•Prepare / support preparation of the investigation action plan;•Provide Support to the business on close out of investigation actions;Key AccountabilitiesReview and evaluation of supplier proposals:
•Evaluating suppliers’ QA/QC proposals in bids, pre/post tenders, start-up deployment and making recommendations based on findings;•Review and evaluation of supplier proposals, e.g. service quality plans to ensure compliance with ROO Wells requirements and expectations;Verification:•Collaborating with the Equipment Quality Specialist (EQS) to ensure TPI Service providers are in place for access to competent surveillance inspectors if and when required;•Assisting the EQS in overseeing surveillance inspection activities;•Ensuring an effective system is in place for storage and retrieval of technical documentation applicable to agreed QCP and SQP’s, including concession and deviation records, NIB Inspection Reports and Inspection Release Notes;•Ensuring that there is an effective system in place for identifying and addressing supplier / contractor non-conformances and corrective actions;•Collaborating with PSCM for the measurement of supplier performance when required;•Liaising with PSCM and Well Engineers with supplier audits and provision of EQS participation as required;•Conducting engineered equipment root cause analysis and risk reduction initiatives associated with equipment field failures and conformance and compliance issues;•Providing oversight of CoC’s and traceability of products where required.
•Strong working knowledge of APIQ2/Q1 management systems;•Able to reference international industry standards e.g. API 6A, 5CT, 16A, OEM proprietary equipment and threads to provide technical information and support to the requesting teams;•Excellent auditing skills, working knowledge of ISO 19001 and reporting writing;•Scheduling job tasks to maximize team utilization;•Self-motivated, able to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities with clear positive feedback;•Strong HSE leadership;•Able to deliver contractor workshops in quality system training;•Able to participate in failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) reviews;•Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;Preferred Experience/ Core Skills:
•15 Years relevant experience within the Oil/Gas/Petrochemical industry;•10+ Years in a related quality field e.g. Snr Inspector, QA Engineer, Auditor;•CSWIP Welding Inspector;
•Standards assistance / support, i.e. BS, API, ANSI, etc;•Strong working knowledge of machined/manufactured equipment;•Global multi-regional experience & cultural sensitivity;•Has led root cause analysis teams and has knowledge of tools e.g. 5-whys, Fault Tree Analysis, Tap Root;•Has managed quality teams;•Is a certified API/ISO auditor; •Has audited management systems;•Has working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques;•Proven adaptability – can manage change & work under own initiative.
