The Yamburg gas field is the world's third largest natural gas field, ranks the second in Russia in terms of initial recoverable reserves, is located 148.5 kilometres (92.3 mi) north of the Arctic Circle in the Tazovsky and Nadymsky districts in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Tyumen Oblast, Russia. The area of the Yamburgskoye field is 170 to 50 kilometers. The Yamburgskoye field is a field of gas, gas condensate and oil. Gas treatment is carried out at 10 comprehensive gas treatment units (UKPG) and 4 pre-treatment gas units (UPPG). The field also acts as a hub for surrounding developments.
